Who is responsible for your data

What I collect
- When you write by email or WhatsApp: your contact details and whatever you choose to send.
- When you order a website: the details needed for the agreement and the invoice, such as your name or company name, address and tax number.
- For your project: the texts, photos, logos and other material you give me, and any access details you choose to share, for example for your domain.
Why, and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a quote: steps taken at your request before a contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To build, deliver and support your website: performance of the contract (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- To issue invoices and keep accounts: a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR).
- To show your website as an example of my work: my legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), and you can object at any time.
How long it is kept
- Enquiries that do not lead to a project are deleted 12 months after our last contact.
- Project files (texts, photos and the website's code) are kept for 2 years after delivery, so the site can be restored or updated. Ask, and I will delete them sooner.
- Access details you share are used only for the project; change those passwords once your website is handed over.
- Agreement and invoice records are kept for as long as Spanish tax and commercial law requires.
Who else handles it
- Netlify, Inc. hosts this website. Netlify is based in the United States; transfers are covered by the safeguards in Netlify's data processing agreement, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
- My email is hosted by Namecheap, Inc.
- If you contact me on WhatsApp, WhatsApp (Meta) processes that conversation under its own privacy policy.
- I use AI tools to help draft, design and translate websites. They receive the project material needed for that work, never your payment details.
- The background photographs on this website load from Unsplash, which therefore receives your IP address, as any website does when it sends you an image.
- Bank-transfer and Bizum payments are processed by the banks involved.
- I do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Cookies
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or advertising tools. It stores two small notes in your browser: the last design and photo set it showed you, so that your next visit looks different. They contain nothing about you, and you can clear them by clearing your browser data.
Your website's visitors
When I build a website for you, you are responsible for the personal data of its visitors, and the website gets its own privacy notice. If your website has a contact form or similar, I set it up on your instructions, and I only handle that data to the extent needed to build and support the website.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your data, to restrict or object to how it is used, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw consent at any time. Write to bahiawebstudio@adamlankamer.com.
If you believe your data has been mishandled, you can complain to the Spanish Data Protection Agency (Agencia Española de Protección de Datos, www.aepd.es).
